On Friday, Twitter announced that it will censor tweets which violate local laws in a particular country. Over the last couple of years, Twitter has been used as a tool for dissidents and activists around the world.

Starting in March, Google will be tracking signed-in users on Gmail, Google Books, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Search, Google +, Picasa, YouTube, etc. They will collate all of your searches to create a profile on you. You will not be allowed to opt-out.
